Romolo del Deo – Meet an Artist in His Own Studio in Tuscany
Pietrasanta, Tuscany, Italy – This autumn, art lovers have a rare opportunity to step inside the creative world of internationally acclaimed sculptor Romolo del Deo. His studio residence in Pietrasanta — a Tuscan town celebrated for its marble heritage and vibrant art scene — is now open for private visits.
An Immersive Artistic Experience
Visitors are invited to explore the place where Romolo transforms raw materials into timeless sculptures. Surrounded by the light, textures, and inspiration of Tuscany, guests will gain unique insight into his artistic process — from sketches and clay models to finished works.
This is not a gallery tour — it’s an intimate encounter with an artist in the very space where his ideas take shape. Guests will have the chance to meet Romolo in person, discuss his creative philosophy, and see works in progress before they reach exhibitions or collections.
About Romolo del Deo
Romolo del Deo is an American-born sculptor with Italian roots, renowned for merging classical traditions with contemporary themes. Educated at Harvard University and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, he has exhibited internationally, from New York to Venice.
His works often explore the relationship between the ancient and the modern, permanence and impermanence — a dialogue expressed through bronze and stone. Romolo’s art has been featured at the Venice Biennale and is held in private and public collections worldwide.
Pietrasanta, with its centuries-old connection to Michelangelo and the world’s finest marble workshops, has long been Romolo’s creative home in Italy.
